I presented this talk at Tableau Conference 2018 in New Orleans, LA.
Here are the links to stories/images included in the presentation, along with other examples I found in my research.

Incidentally, the word cloud represents the NYTimes headline words most often used by men and women (this is from an analysis in 2014). The author is a sociologist at the University of Maryland, College Park – and he specializes in issues of family inequality. When presenting the word cloud, even he cheekily says ‘so sue me’ for the use of these colors – so he knows this is likely to ruffle some feathers.
