Ever since the 2015/16 regular season ended, I'd thought long and hard about making a visualization that showed not only where Russell Wilson threw, but to whom, how often, and how successful he was based on quarter, down, and opponent. This spiffy vis is the result: one page showing a map of all of his passes (well, those that have direction indicated) and the other a receivers scorecard, showing how each receiver did based on what direction he threw.
I had a theory from watching all season long that handsome Doug Baldwin was not only the most successful, but that short right was the magic combination with him. The data bore that out.
If you're a Seahawks fan - or even if you're not - play with the filters to see what you can learn about Russell Wilson's pass attack last season! And don't forget to look at the receivers' scorecard (tab 2) to compare the whole crew.
