Every summer I’d visit my favorite bakery and walk out with a baguette stuck into my backpack or in the my bike basket. Drivers would wave and smile and comment, ‘how very charming!’ I remembered a buying bread bag years ago and I thought I’d bring the idea back to life to share with others. The baguette quiver was reborn!
Bring some joy into the world the next time you visit your local bakery and walk home with a baguette on your back!
A baguette quiver is exactly what it sounds like - a bag worn cross-body made to fit a baguette. The next time you walk to your urban village, pick and pack a baguette and swing by the grocery for cheese, charcuterie, and that irresistible bottle of rose and make it a picnic.
I made a few extra and I’m sharing the joy! If you want one of these baguette quivers and promise you’ll share or Insta a photo of you, your baguette, and your quiver (#baguettequiver), I’ll send you one!
Each quiver is made from 100% cotton, some up-cycled fabric and some new. Some fabric has been Rit dyed while others dyed using compost scraps (check out my dye vat projects).
Straps vary from 1.5” to 2” and while most are 100% cotton there are some cotton-poly blends.
